Casey Anthony's Befriends Inmates, Passes Hundreds of Incriminating Letters

Casey Anthony's fellow inmates have turned on her, telling officials that she admitted to using drugs to knock out her 2-year-old daughter while she went out partying. Florida officials have released transcripts of law enforcement interviews with inmates, in addition to 500 pages of handrwritten letters Anthony allegedly passed to these individuals. The development comes as a true bombshell in the case against the 24-year-old mother, whose daughter Caylee went missing in June of 2008. The child's remains were found close to the Anthony home in December of that same year. Casey Anthony has told a bizarre story from day one, saying that a babysitter named "Zanny" kidnapped the baby.

According to a CBS news affiliate, Maya Derkovic told detectives she was friendly with Casey Anthony while they were in jail together. She claims Anthony confided in her about drugging her daughter so she could go out, according to transcripts released by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Anthony also told another inmate that Caylee had trouble sleeping and that she would use medicine to put her to sleep. According to a transcript of her police interview, Robyn Adams said that Anthony used antihistamines on her daughter. However, a police summary of Adams' conversation with investigators says that Anthony used chloroform. (CBS WKMG-TV 6)

Casey Anthony has pleaded not-guilty to the charge of 1st degree murder.
