This is truly deplorable..........Police say that a 25-year-old mom from Livermore, CA is being charged with murder after she allegedly passed out on her infant following a 4-day meth binge. YES, you read that right. Jessica Adams reportedly told police that she accidentally suffocated her 2-month-old son while she was sleeping on March 19, 2009. However, investigators have learned otherwise, and they are now saying that the mother passed out on the child after a 4-day drug bender. Jessica Adams was apparently celebrating her birthday and insisted on taking the baby with her! Police say witness accounts have her insisting on keeping her son with her, even after others had offered to take care of him during her alleged B-day binge.
According to CBS affiliate KPIX, police didn't know that at the time of her infant son's death Adams had two other children, ages three and five. Those children had been taken away from her by Child Protective Services because they were born with meth in their systems, police said.
UGH!!! There are no words to express.. Why didn't those around her do something MORE?
