Cheating attorney's wife escorts him to court after 3 attempts made on her life

Bellaire attorney Jeffrey Stern was indicted on two counts of solicitation of capital murder last month after several attempts were made on his wife's life, the last occurring in May of 2010. Stern's mistress, a former Montrose tattoo artist by the name of Michelle Gaiser, is already behind bars facing one count of the same charge.

Yvonne Stern was seriously injured last May when a man approached her car window and pointed a gun at her head. After pleading for her life, the assailant chose to instead shoot her in the stomach. Obviously she survived...

ABC 13 local reported that Jeffrey Stern made his first court appearance last Monday, "his wife again at his side, standing by her man, who says he did not try to have her killed".

LOL.

Given we already know what should happen to her husband, what should Yvonne Stern get?

Laughter or pity?

Girl kills 3 month old son over Farmville !!

Alexandra Tobias of Jacksonville, Florida told investigators that she shook her 3-month-old baby because he was crying while she played Farmville. Oh and she may have hit his head on the computer during the shaking, she told the court. According to the 22-year-old mother's own account, she shook him once, had a cigarette, then shook him again.

http://jacksonville.com/news/crime/2010-10-27/story/jacksonville-mom-shakes-baby-interrupting-farmville-pleads-guilty-murder

WOW... I've heard of the stories where people shake babies after listening to them cry for hours. Those are bad enough. But now there's this dumb bitch whose willing to kill her 3-month-old son for interrupting her online game.

What's even more infuriating is the way this girl calmly stated her guilty plea, explaining that she "would take full responsibility" for her actions. As she's saying this, there's no sign of emotion or remorse. It's as if life goes on... she's going to jail... no more Farmville, no more baby. WTF ?????? Seriously.......... why are girls of this age and mental state a) having children, and b) being allowed to care for them.

There are way too many stories like this, and they need to STOP.

I think it was on Nancy Grace that I heard the mention of Alexandra Tobias possibly using her computer to hit her infant son.. hence him "hitting his head" on it. The simple idea of such an act being committed against a baby makes me want to take my own desktop and drop it right on this ugly bitch's head.

Detroit woman used cancer scam involving her 12-year-old son to make money!!

This is the lowest of the lows... !!!

A Detroit-area woman was arraigned Friday on charges of fraud and child abuse, CBS News reported. Carol Lynn Schnuphase, 47, is accused of telling people that her 12-year-old son had leukemia in order to elicit thousands of dollars in charitable donations. In addition to using this deadly disease as a way to make money, reports say that the mother also changed her son's appearance in order to make the idea more plausible. This included shaving his head and eyebrows every other week.... and crushing up drugs to put in his food so that he would appear lethargic!!!!!!!!! YES. Seriously.

CBS News said that a hospital has tested the boy and found no cancer. Sadly, he is going through opiate withdrawal because of the drugs his mother was feeding him. Poor thing!!

This is even sicker though. After Carol Schnuphase's family members and relatives reported her to the police, authorities removed the boy from her home earlier this summer. She then told past donors that her son had died and that she needed money for his funeral and burial, according to Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith. As if it could get any worse!!! This lady has no bottom.

Deplorable.

We still can't believe someone did this!!

Bethany Storo reportedly inserted a plea of not guilty today on charges stemming from the acid attack hoax. Court records show that she spent around $1,500 of it on things like clothes and a laser facial peel.

According to the source, Storro's face was red and blotchy but largely unbandaged as she appeared in court today.

"Barefoot Bandit" captured in the Bahamas

Surprise surprise.

The ever elusive "barefoot bandit" has been captured. After two years on the run, 19-year-old Colton Harris-Moore was arrested at around 2 a.m. this morning after a brief high-speed boat chase, the Seattle Times reported. The teen was attempting to flee the area on a vessel he had stolen, but police were able to shoot out the engines and stop him. Harris-Moore was reportedly in a panic, throwing his laptop into the water and even holding a gun to his head. However police were able to talk him out of it, and he was taken into custody. A firearm and several other items were seized during the arrest, the Times reported.

Over a span of two years, the teen dubbed the "barefoot bandit" is rumored to have stolen luxury cars, planes and boats. He earned his nickname after allegedly stealing an aircraft from Idaho last fall and leaving his footprints in the airport hangar.

Ironically, the Seattle Times said that Colton Harris-Moore was actually barefoot as he stepped off a plane in Nassau today.

Stepmom Suspected by her Family in Kyron Horman Disappearance May Have Had Postpartum Depression

The parents of a missing Oregon boy have recently expressed their belief that his stepmother's postpartum depression could have played a role in his disappearance. Kyron Horman has been missing since June 4th, and his stepmother, Terri Horman, is the last person known to have been with him on that day. Now the 7-year-old's father has revealed that his wife suffered from postpartum depression following the birth of her daughter, Kiara, 19 months ago. In a recent interview, Kaine Horman said that his wife's emotional state "was just more erratic" after the baby was born.

Terri Moulton Horman has been under intense suspicion by both her husband and the child's biological mother, Desiree Young, after failing two polygraph tests and refusing to cooperate with the investigation any further. Earlier this week things grew even more tense when a landscaper who worked for the family came forward to say that six months ago, Terri Horman offered him a large sum of money to kill her husband. Following this news, Kaine Horman immediately filed for a divorce as well as a restraining order against his wife. He has openly told the court that he feels Kyron's stepmother is responsible for the little boy's disappearance.

Landscaper for Missing Oregon Boy's Family Says Stepmom Offered Him Large Sum of Money to Kill Husband

There's been a shocking development in the case of missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman, who was last seen by his stepmother at his elementary school in Portland on June 4th. A landscaper who worked for the family has come forward claiming that Terri Moulton Horman offered him a large sum of money to kill her husband, Kaine Horman. According to the Oregonian, the man told authorities that the alleged encounter with Kyron's stepmother took place approximately six months before the little boy vanished.

Also the source said that when detectives revealed the plan to Kyron's father last week, he immediately filed for a restraining order against Terri Moulton Horman. He also filed for divorce.

If true, this alleged murder-for-hire plot would explain the surprising events as of late, i.e. Kyron's dad filing for both divorce and a restraining order against his wife in the midst of his son being missing.

So sad and tragic, and of course it leaves you asking WHY.... but we can't ignore all the red flags here. Her shady cell phone pings off that island + this new story makes us think Terri Moulton Horman definitely had something to do with Kyron's disappearance.

She needs to start telling the truth for the sake of this little boy and his family!! Let him come home!

Jaycee Dugard approved for $20 Million Dollar Settlement from State of California

Today the California State Assembly approved a $20 million settlement for kidnap victim Jaycee Dugard, who was snatched off the street near her South Lake Tahoe home in 1991. The settlement would compensate Dugard and her two daughters for a lack of counseling and education while they were held captive behind Phillip Garrido's Antioch home for two decades. Although it still has to go through the Senate, the Sacramento Bee reported that the payment is intended to head off a potentially larger judgment that could easily be handed down, given the circumstances of the 20-year kidnapping. Authorities repeatedly failed to supervise Garrido, a registered sex offender who was on parole for a 1977 rape and kidnapping charge when he abducted Jaycee. Garrido's wife Nancy was also part of the kidnapping and faces similar charges.

Public outrage ensued when it became known that authorities did make numerous trips out to Garrido's home during the time that Jaycee and her daughters lived there. The state accepted responsibility for dropping the ball on several occasions, since none of the individuals sent out to the residence took the opportunity to investigate suspicious circumstances.

If you've seen the E! Investigates special on the Jaycee Dugard kidnapping, you'd know just how many times the state went out to Phillip Garrido's home between 1991 and 2009. You'd also know that each time they went out, they didn't do anything except talk to him. Even when a neighbor complained that an electrical cord was running through the backyard into the tents, nobody looked for them!!!!! And it was either the Department of Corrections or the Dept. of Public Health that went out to investigate.

TRULY frustrating. In our opinion the settlement should be larger than $20 million, for punitive reasons!

Van der sloot indicted for extortion in Alabama

This was definitely overdue. What he's put this woman through is AWFUL!!

CBS News reports that Joran van der Sloot was indicted yesterday in Birmingham on charges connected to the Natalee Holloway case. The 22-year-old murder suspect is accused of attempting to extort $250,000 from Beth Holloway in exchange for information on where her daughter was buried. The FBI reportedly worked with Natalee Holloway's mother in an effort to catch Van der Sloot in the sting.

It takes a real sicko to taunt a grieving mother like this, ESP after evading the law for 5+ years.

He might be sitting in a Peruvian jail, but we're still glad van der Sloot got charged for the extortion.

The cover of the new issue shows the alleged victim holding up a pair of pants she saved from the incident.

... We believe the woman's story, but we want to hear details of the whole "assault"... i.e. how the stain got on her pants.

11 Suspected Russian Spies Arrested by FBI, Supposedly Living in the U.S. for years, posing as innocent civilians...

Anna Chapman is a name suddenly popping up all over the web, and that's because the attractive 28-year-old foreigner is one of 11 accused Russian spies living in the United States. Yesterday the FBI announced the arrests of 10 alleged deep-cover Russian agents who they've been following for years, the New York Post reported. The persons involved in the federal investigation are accused of attempting to infiltrate U.S. policymaking circles while posing as ordinary citizens for the last ten years. According to various reports, the spies were on a quest to obtain information about American weapons, political developments and diplomatic strategy.

Anna Chapman (pictured right in a Facebook photo) was arrested in New York on Sunday after being caught in a sting by two undercover agents. Prosecutors have deemed her a flight risk, calling the foreign beauty a highly trained "Russian agent" who is "a practiced deceiver." As for the other spy suspects, the Post reports that eight of the ten lived as married couples in suburbs of New York City, Virginia, and Boston.

Each of the 10 suspects was charged with conspiracy to act as an agent of a foreign government without notifying the U.S. attorney general, which carries a maximum of five years in prison if convicted. Nine of those arrested also face charges of conspiracy to commit money laundering, which carries up to a 20 year prison sentence, according to the New York Post.

Wow.... wtf!!! Scary.

Update in Venus Stewart Case: Husband Charged with Murder

The case of a missing Michigan woman has turned into a homicide investigation, and on Wednesday prosecutors announced that they have officially charged Venus Stewart's estranged husband with her murder. The 32-year-old mother was last seen in the early morning hours of April 26th when she went to retrieve the mail in front of her parent's home in Colon Township.

Doug Stewart is accused of driving overnight to Michigan, luring Venus outside, abducting and killing her and then disposing of her body. CBS affiliate WWMT said that the final break in the case came when investigators located a man named Richard Spencer, who has admitted to impersonating Douglas Stewart in Virginia in an attempt to give him an alibi. Several other pieces of evidence have linked Stewart to the crime, including tire marks left behind at the scene that appeared to match those on his truck. A neighbor also told police that at about 7 a.m. on the day Venus disappeared, she spotted a “light gray colored” pickup truck with four doors parked in a field near her residence and that a white male was “crouched behind” the vehicle. Five minutes later, the truck was gone, according to a search warrant affidavit.

Douglas Stewart faces one count of open murder, and one count of conspiracy to commit murder.

Judge rules that Joran van der Sloot's confession will not be dismissed

Sighs of relief...........

On Friday a Peruvian judge denied a defense motion that requested Joran van der Sloot's murder confession be thrown out. CBS News reported that Superior Court Judge Wilder Casique found the request to be "baseless." Apparently the motion claimed van der Sloot's confession should be dismissed because the attorney representing him at the time was state-appointed. Other sources have reported that van der Sloot's lawyer believes his client's constitutional rights were infringed upon because he confessed to the crime during a period of duress.

The suspect in last month's slaying of 21-year-old Stephany Flores had recently retracted the original story he gave to police on the grounds that an intense interrogation had confused him. Van der Sloot reportedly said that he was led to believe he'd be able to return to the Netherlands if he told investigators what they wanted to hear.

He remains jailed at the maximum-security Miguel Castro Castro prison, where he awaits trial on charges of robbery and first-degree murder.

OMG! Couple Tries to Sell Baby for $25 in Wal-Mart Parking Lot!

This is the lowest of the low!

A California couple was arrested today after trying to sell their newborn baby in a Wal-Mart parking lot... for $25!!!!! Yes it's true.

Patrick Fousek, 38, and Samantha Tomasini, 20, were arrested early Wednesday morning after two women were able to take down their license plate number. CBS News reported that Patrick Fousek had approached the women in a Salinas, CA., Wal-Mart parking lot on Tuesday, and offered to sell them a 6-month-old baby. The women reportedly thought the man was joking at first, but realized he was serious when he continued to persist, even bargaining down the price to a mere $25. They called police, at which point Fousek took off in a car with the baby's mother.

Salinas Police tracked the two down at their home early on Wednesday where they appeared to be high on methamphetamine. They were arrested and the baby has been placed with Child Protective Services, CBS News reported. The mother, Samantha Tomasini, reportedly admitted to the police that she breast fed her child while smoking the drug at the same time.

Sickening!!!!!!

That is so insane. These people should never see this beautiful little infant ever again. There are so many couples who would do anything to have a child.

Joran van der Sloot retracts murder confession..... Sighs

What a shocking move this is................

Joran van der Sloot is now saying he was tricked into confessing to the murder of Stephany Flores Ramirez.

The new claim has come out after a Dutch newspaper did an interview with the 22-year-old murder suspect from his prison cell in Peru. Van der Sloot reportedly told De Telegraaf that his confession was the result of an intense interrogation with investigators, one that left him feeling pressured and scared. He also claims he was led to believe that he would be able to return to the Netherlands if he told police what they wanted to hear.

"I'll explain later how it all happened... in my blind panic, I signed everything, but didn't even know what it said.

"I was very scared and confused during the interrogations and wanted to get away," van der Sloot is quoted as saying.

Ugh... what a waste of everyone's time, dealing with this guy's charades. He needs to be locked up forever... outside of protective custody!

And as for him saying he'll talk to Arubian authorities about Natalee if he's allowed back in the country... disgusting. Nobody should believe a thing he says at this point. This is the same person who tried to extort poor Beth Holloway.

His own mother said he's sick in the head.

Former Alabama Univ. Professor Accused of Shooting 3 Colleagues Now Indicted in Brother's 24-year-old Murder!

The former Alabama university professor accused of shooting three of her colleagues in February has been indicted in the 1986 shooting death of her brother, CNN just reported. Amy Bishop is charged with first-degree murder in the killing of Seth Bishop, whose death was originally ruled an accident. He was 18 at the time.

According to the story, Amy Bishop's version of events from 1986 came under renewed scrutiny after she was arrested for the the February 12th shootings at the University of Alabama, a rampage that left 3 of her co-workers dead. At the time of Seth Bishop's death, a 21-year-old Amy had told authorities that a shotgun accidentally went off after she asked her brother to help her unload it.

In announcing the murder indictment, Norfolk District Attorney William Keating reportedly said "jobs weren't done, responsibilities were not met and justice was not served."

"Three individuals who were killed in Alabama may not have been."

Bishop is currently awaiting trial in Alabama on capital murder and attempted murder charges for the Feb. 12th incident.

Joran van der Sloot: Transfer me to new prison and I'll lead you to Natalee

Joran van der Sloot is so desperate to be transferred out of a crowded Peruvian jail, sources say he has offered to say where Natalee Holloway's remains are if granted his wish. The 22-year-old accused murderer reportedly fears for his life, and has even refused prison food because he thought it might be poisoned. CNN revealed that van der Sloot is in a high security area with 24/7 protection, sharing TV time with a high profile Colombian alleged hit man.

Radio Netherlands Worldwide was the first to report that van der Sloot is claiming he will discuss the location of Holloway's body with Aruban officials only if he is sent back to Aruba. HLN reports that Natalee Holloway's father is in the country with a search team as investigators wait to hear if van der Sloot will finally lead investigators to his daughter's body.

Oregon Boy Missing 11 Days, Case Now Classified as Criminal Investigation

Yesterday a Multnomah County Sheriff fought back tears as he announced that the search for a 7-year-old Portland, Oregon boy has become a criminal investigation. Authorities haven't been able to come up with any clues in the 11 days that Kyron Horman has been missing. In the state's largest search-and-rescue mission to date, over 1,500 volunteers came together from across the state and from southern Washington and northern California, KOIN reported. Sadly, many of those teams were sent home Sunday. A more limited search team from Multnomah County is set to canvass the Elementary School again this week.

Prior to Sunday, Kyron Horman had been considered a "missing endangered child," due to there being no evidence of criminal activity. The term includes a child that may be lost and in danger. Police said Monday that the missing 7-year-old likely didn't simply walk away from school.

The sheriff's office has offered a $25,000 reward for information that leads to the boy.

So sad!! What could have happened to him?!! :(

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kyron Horman is urged to call the tip line:
