"Barefoot Bandit" captured in the Bahamas

Surprise surprise.

The ever elusive "barefoot bandit" has been captured. After two years on the run, 19-year-old Colton Harris-Moore was arrested at around 2 a.m. this morning after a brief high-speed boat chase, the Seattle Times reported. The teen was attempting to flee the area on a vessel he had stolen, but police were able to shoot out the engines and stop him. Harris-Moore was reportedly in a panic, throwing his laptop into the water and even holding a gun to his head. However police were able to talk him out of it, and he was taken into custody. A firearm and several other items were seized during the arrest, the Times reported.

Over a span of two years, the teen dubbed the "barefoot bandit" is rumored to have stolen luxury cars, planes and boats. He earned his nickname after allegedly stealing an aircraft from Idaho last fall and leaving his footprints in the airport hangar.

Ironically, the Seattle Times said that Colton Harris-Moore was actually barefoot as he stepped off a plane in Nassau today.
