Rapper Lil Boosie Indicted for First Degree Murder! DA Says Death Penalty Possible

A popular Southern rapper who has been serving time in jail for a probation violation is now facing serious charges.


WAFB-TV reported that Torrence Hatch, better known as Lil Boosie, has been indicted by an East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury on a first-degree murder charge for his alleged involvement in an October shooting death. Detectives told the news station that 35-year-old Terry Boyd was shot on Oct. 21st of last year, when bullets were fired through a window of his Baton Rouge home. Two other men, Michael Louding, 17, and Adrian Pittman, 36, were also indicted for the crime on Thursday, WAFB reported.


Hatch pleaded guilty to drug and gun charges in September and was sentenced to two years in prison. His sentenced was doubled while on house arrest when he violated the terms of his release.


If convicted of first-degree murder, Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore said that Hatch could face the death penalty.
