Huge Break in Drew Peterson Case: Third Wife's Body May Have Been Found

A bombshell has been dropped in the case of former Illinois cop Drew Peterson, who stands accused of murdering his third wife, Kathleen Savio. TMZ is reporting that a law enforcement source has told them that Peterson confided in another inmate about killing his fourth wife, Stacy, who has been missing since October 27th, 2008. Although he has not been formerly charged, public suspicion has long held that Peterson most definitely had something to do with her disappearance.

TMZ's source told them that Peterson revealed to the inmate how he had killed Stacy, and said that he had help in disposing of her body. Once the inmate told authorities of his encounter, they were able to locate the alleged accomplice, who then directed them to the location of the remains. The informant reportedly took Will County Sheriff's deputies and prosecutors to private hunting grounds just outside of Peoria, IL., on Friday. According to the story, the accomplice told authorities the body was stuffed in a metal drum that had been buried underground. After dogs hit on this area, police reportedly put prongs in the ground and hit on something solid.

A search of this area is now underway, per an update from TMZ....
