Gary Coleman's ex-wife just did an interview in which she tries to clear her name of any wrongdoing, but she ended up looking like an even bigger bitch. In case you haven't heard the 911 call yet, Shannon Price makes it quite obvious that she doesn't want to help her ex, who is on the first floor and bleeding from his head after a fall. The blood grosses her out... so she ignores the operator's instructions to put pressure on Coleman's wound. She also tells the 911 person that she's sick, so if she were to go downstairs, she could get stressed out and seize. We wouldn't want that happening.... so it's probably better to let him bleed to death, right? Cold-hearted bitch!
During the interview, Price explains her decision to take Gary off life support. We have highlighted the comments that we found to be the most disturbing:
"You know, the doctors told us that even if they would've done surgery on him he would've died. He would've bled to death during the surgery. And they said that even if they did take a chunk out of his brain he would not be the same. He would be basically like Muhammad Ali. He wouldn't be, you know, and I mean he would've died sooner or later anyway from that. Because the brain, you know, it's so traumatic. I don't want people to be so hard on me thinking that I had to pull the plug too early. He wouldn't have made it anyway. His heart would've just given out. And I don't want people to sit there and think that I'm a bitch and that I didn't care about him. But you know, be in my situation. I mean, look at what happened with Terry Schiavo. I always think of her case. Always when it comes to this. Gary was gone. His eyes were dilated, he was just gone."
After hearing the 911 call and this interview, we definitely don't think foul play should be ruled out on the part of Shannon Price. She strikes us as an evil, selfish woman... one who was willing to let her ex-husband bleed while she stood back and watched. We have also heard reports that it was Coleman himself who got out to the ambulance, sans any help from his ex-wife.
Suspicious doesn't even begin to cover it! And now in the latest sick twist to this story, TMZ reports that Shannon Price is asking for money to cover funeral costs, since Gary's kidney problems supposedly prevented him from getting life insurance. Interesting that during this same interview, Coleman's ex bragged about buying "high-end stuff" during trips to Vegas.
We hope police investigate, for the sake of Gary Coleman and his family.
